About Victoria

Victoria Kasunic is a psychologist, speaker and writer, who regularly consults to print media (Cosmopolitan, Maire Claire, CLEO, Positive Parenting, Wellbeing, That's Life, the Sun-Herald) and television (Making Couples Happy, Go Back to Where You Came From - Series 1 and 2, Making Australia Happy, World’s Strictest Parents, So I Married a Stranger).  Victoria focusses on happiness and positive psychology, and has a sassy, modern approach to life and is the Go to Girl to impact you to Be Who You Are, No Matter What! She draws on over 12 years of client experience to do so.

In 2009, after many years in the public health and not for profit sectors, Victoria established her own business on the lower North Shore of Sydney. Victoria has established a reputation for getting clients results in areas of their life where they have felt stuck for many years. A dynamic and engaging speaker, Victoria has presented to hundreds of people on topics such as resilience, happiness and mental health and has been published internationally  for her work on the prevention of depression in young people (Rowling and Kasunic, 2006. Prevention of depression in young people: An Australian perspective. Clinical Neuropsychiatry, Special Edition on Prevention). Victoria provides services such as personal sessions, speaking, seminars, and corporate consultation to local and international clients.

Her professional experience stretches from individuals to groups to workplaces, from children to adolescents to adults. The breadth of Victoria's experience includes life issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and excess weight, grief and loss, trauma, childhood abuse, sexuality, cancer, and stress management. Victoria has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology and a Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology). She is registered as a psychologist in Australia, a provider of psychological services under Medicare and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society. An advocate for women thriving in leadership and business, Victoria is the Deputy Chair of the Australian Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI) and a long term member of SHE Business Australia.

Victoria has training in cognitive-behaviour therapy, solution focussed therapy, generative trance hypnosis (with Stephen Gilligan) and acceptance and commitment therapy. She is also trained in Reiki I and II, in the Usui tradition. She will often use inner child dialoguing, mindfulness and meditation to complement her other therapeutic approaches.
